We recently published a tutorial that demonstrates how to integrate interactive 3D content in your MontageJS applications with the SceneView component. It is built on top of WebGL, but abstracts away much of the complexity.
You can import entire 3D scenes created in conventional modeling tools like SketchUp and Maya. Individual scene elements can be manipulated programmatically using the MontageJS binding system and CSS. The SceneView component understands 3D CSS transforms and can apply them to nodes in the WebGL scene. Thanks! Where can I find information on how to implement the OpenGL Shader Language (GLSL) in my Collada file using 3DS MAX 2014? Thanks. Walls.
you could just extend your content pipeline from COLLADA->glTF to add a step to override glTF materials (coming from COLLADA) with your hand written GLSL shaders. Third party tools to achieve this would be welcomed too.
The ideal alternative to this would be to rely on the GLSL Profile for COLLADA but it is not exported by 3DSMAX. Also it would mean that GLSL materials should be supported within 3DSMAX which to my knowledge are not (right?). Anyhow, first step would be to work on a 3DSMAX plugin to make this happen through COLLADA.
